This very short lived series(only 5 episodes were made) is an adaptation of the dc comics super hero swamp thing. It is the story of alec holland a biochemist who after creating a way to feed all the people of the world forever using dna splicing on plants is turned into a plant mutant by the evil anton arcane when he will not give him his secret formula so he blows up his lab and while holland is on fire from the chemicals he jumps into the swamp hoping to put out the flames, but instead becomes a strange creature. The series continues as swamp thing tries to become human once again while arcane and his evil mutant un-men try to capture him for arcane's evil experiments.
