{"title":"Kojak","dateDebut":"1973","dateEnd":"1978","description":"When they started out together in the New York Police\r\nDepartment, Theo Kojak and Frank McNeil had worked\r\nclosely together and, for a number of years, been\r\npartners. Over the years Frank had worked his way up\r\nthe hierarchy to the point where he was now chief of\r\ndetectives for the 13th Precinct in the Manhattan\r\nSouth district. Kojak, who had a cynical sense of\r\nhumor as was determined to do things his way\r\nregardless of what his bosses thought, was now\r\nworking for him. Kojak was outspoken and streetwise,\r\nand was not above stretching the literal interpretation\r\nof the law if it would help him crack a case. Working\r\nclosely with him was plain clothes detective Bobby\r\nCrocker, as close to a regular partner as he had.\r\n\r\nThe supporting role of Detective Stavros was played by\r\nTelly Savalas' brother George who, during the first two\r\nseasons of the show, was billed as Demosthenes in the\r\ncredits rather than his real name. Considerable location\r\nfilming was done in New York with Kojak seen all over\r\nthe city licking his trademark lollipops.","leadImageMedUrl":"https:\/\/distro-1.retrojunk.com\/secure\/b86dcecbe9b5819f5f15c6ad30f27a33cce3a44f51ee19649c0e24eb84d4ba40698397\/image\/5c5_442adc02da.jpg"}
