I been to New York and seen rich people
When I opened my mouth they could tell I'm country

I eat wit my hands when my fork can't get it and folks was looking at me say I'm country

When I laugh out loud you can heard down the street and folks yell back saying shut up fool and stop being country

When I aint got the money to get what I want I pawn stuff to get what I want because I'm country

Black folks is country I know because when I look in the mirror and see my redbone skin I know I'm country and there is nothing I can do about it.
