I went to the thrift store today, and all their prices were 1/2 off! VHS's, originally 75 cents each, were only 37 cents each! I found a lot of VHS treasures today, as well as some jewelry and a board game.
VHS's I found:
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Episodes:
Party Poohper
A Bird in the Hand
A Pooh Day Afternoon
I didn't have these episodes on VHS at home, so this was a great find for me!
Care Bears
Episodes:
Lotsa Heart's Wish
Order on the Court
The Honeymooners: Hidden Episodes
Episodes:
Hair Raising Tale
Finger Man
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle Volume 2: Birth of Bullwinkle
Rugrats: Decade in Diapers, Volume 1
Episodes:
Angelica Orders Out
The First Cut
Reptar on Ice
No Bones About It
Be My Valentine
Including the Rugrats Pilot Episode!
A Home-made VHS supposedly including (I haven't watched it yet):
The Mouse and the Mayflower
Smurfs and the Magic Flute
The Ewoh Adventure
I also got the VHS movie Kermit's Swamp Years
It's a Wonderful Life on VHS
TWO Sesame Street home videos:
Sing Yourself Silly! circa 1990.
Count It Higher circa 1988
A special video called "Voices that Care" where a ton of singers and celebrities get together in 1991 to sing for USO and the Armed Forces. The VHS case it comes in even has a picture on the back of all the celebrities that are in the video!
TWO Babysitter's Club videos! I taped this series off Disney when I was a child, so maybe I already have these episodes, but I wanted to get the "official" releases also:
Claudia and the Mystery of the Secret Passage
The Baby Sitters and the Boy Sitters
A video called Michael Jordan's Playground, a video from 1991 telling of Michael Jordan's career. Imagine if they had made that video in 1998! I'm giving this to my Dad for Christmas, since he likes Michael Jordan.
TWO of Nick Jr.'s Little Bear VHS's:
Little Bear: Friends
Episodes:
Emily's Visit
I'll Be You, You'll Be Me
Lucy Needs a Friend
Princess Duck
Little Bear: Family Tales (I haven't watched it yet and there's no case with this tape, so I don't know which episodes are on this tape)
Punky Brewster: Winning Isn't Everything (animated)
I also got, count them, FOUR of Disney's Sing Along Songs VHS's:
Friend Like Me
Campout at Walk Disney World
Let's Go to the Circus!
Disneyland Fun
I also got a Teenage Mutant Turtles episode called "The Shredder is Splintered"
The final VHS I got was another home-made one with, supposedly (haven't watched this one either) the Wonderful World of Disney stuff. Can't wait to see this one!
I also got a board game. I used to love playing the Memory game when I was younger, and I found a Winnie the Pooh version of it for 75 cents at the thrift store!
I also got a DVD of Garfield specials called Garfield Travel Adventures, which includes:
Garfield in the Rough
Garfield in Paradise
Garfield Goes Hollywood
Oh yes, I also found a nice church statuette for Mom - she's into those Christmas villages and puts her's up on the entertainment center every year near Christmas.
Whew! And what was the total at the cash register? Well, I thought I'd have to pay over $20, but I did not - it was only $17.33! I could not have gotten these videos and other finds at Dollar General or any other stores for that cheap!!!
I think I had a good day and found some good stuff.
