    Anybody else remember this one?
Or should I say, does anybody remember this one, as I myself never saw it, I don't believe.

The general idea to it was that they had Freddy Krueger bookending what was essentially an Outter Limits/Twilight Zone type show about the nightmares people in Springville had, presumably because Freddy made them have the nightmares. Robert Englund would essentially come in, film a bunch of intros and exits at a time, then go off to do other things until they needed him again. Was an hour long show, with two thirty minute segments that had enough in common to work together, but were stand-alone enough that they could be seperated into individual half-hour episodes.

Was a first run syndicated series, 44 episodes, and was essentially shoved into the worst time slots available. Did anybody ever catch an episode of it?

Actually it was called Freddy's Nightmares and was just a cheesy spin-off of the movies. I personally thought the Friday the 13th series was much better. I remember the one about the babysitter that doesn't know that the family's oldest daughter is locked in the basement for killing her mother. She finds her and finds that they look alot alike. The girl in the basement switches places with the babysitter and the babysitter ends up getting locked in the basement.
I don't know about you, Miss Kitty, but I feel so much... yummier

I loved this show when it was on. It used to air on FOX 25 here in Boston on Friday nights at 10pm (right after Just the Ten of Us on ABC).

There were 5 or 6 VHS tapes released of this in the early 90s. I have a few extra copies of the "Freddy's Tricks and Treats" if anyone wants to buy one.

They released the first episode on DVD in R2 in the UK.

The first episode was directed by Tobe Hooper and was a prequel to the first Elm Street movie. All the episodes after that were basically horror anthologies that Freddy Happened to be in, the show kind of reminded me of the Hitchhiker as far as look and episodes went, except without the breats, which was a shame.

I remember this show, but barely. I know I caught a few episodes but I sure as hell can't remember them.

I agree with BadKitty, Friday the 13th the series was much better.

I can vaguely recall this show, but I know it was aired in conjunction with "Tales From The Dark Side".

I can recall that I like the show.

I remember one episode dealing with two sisters that were in love with Jon Bon Jovi or something along that line.

I remmenber the "best" episode of this show...

It was the Halloween special, I guess, 'cause it was about Freddy Krugger in person playing around wiht a photographer who captured him killing a model in her pictures.
It was fun because the photografer "befreinded" Freddy, She get him victims and she take the snapshot of the killing....
But 'ol Fred, double cross her, got the kiling, but poke the eyes out of the photographer.....

one episode that really creeped me out was when this girl was doing a 100 metre run and then suddenly ( i don't know if someone else was dreaming it or her ) the girls head comes off and the body keeps on running , it certainly was one of most traumatic experiences in my childhood
