A gaming hacker managed to import a Super NES game onto the original NES system. That game: Super Mario World. Since the technological aspects for both systems are extremely different, the look and feel of the game has been completely transformed.

          I've got this rom

however you'll need some unreal emulator like FCE Ultra or Nestopia to play it

^ Nestopia only, which is a wee bit better than FCEU thanks to better filters (-graphics) and scaling options (-graphics).

That ROM made me almost feel like I had missed a classic. But I did notice a few bugs, like the fact that those blocks did not start whirling when you hit them and thus you could not jump through them. Then there were general slow-downs and, IIRC, NES couldn't display more than 4 or 5 objects per screen. Correct me if I'm wrong. :?:

I know NES can't display more than 8 sprites on a line

but yeah, I think this game was left unfinished for some reason

I have a copy of that ROM too. It plays just just fine on FCE Ultra.

I don't think the game is "unfinished" so much as it's just not thorough. Impressive, but not thorough. It's not a hack, but a bootleg cart probably made either in Hong Kong or Russia, where Famicom games (mostly pirated or bootleg) are still in broad circulation. It's very common for bootleg manufacturers to cobble together 8-bit versions of games from other systems. I've seen 8-bit bootlegs of Fatal Fury, Mortal Kombat, Sonic the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong Country, and multiple adaptations of Street Fighter 2. I don't know if they still are, but these used to be common as dirt in South America as well. The fake Super Mario World is more finished than most of them.
