I remember this kids show that was on, probably from the mid-80s to early-90's. (I actually remember seeing it as late as 1996, but those were probably reruns.) Anyways, it was your regular kids show, akin to that of Lamb Chop's Play-Along. There was a twentysomething girl who had fun adventures and stuff with three of her little friends. One of them was a bluejay or bluebird (I'd say bluejay because it somehow occurs to me that the character's name was Jay.), and a little green frog with blonde hair, who always wore the same red shirt, and a little girl monkey..thing.

One episode I remember is where the monkey instigates a new holiday, "National Banana Day", which follows along the same lines as Halloween, except you dress up as bananas and you only get bananas. And she tells everyone to take part in it, and everyone goes out doing it, until her conscience gets to her and she informs her friends there's no such holiday.

Does anybody have ANY possible clue as to what this show might be? It's eating me up inside. One thing I do know is that it was shown on CBC (the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), but I'm not sure if the show was shipped out to multiple network (ie. Seinfeld) or if it was a local thing. If my capture card wasn't acting up, I would provide a picture, as I have an old CBC commercial, with about one and a half seconds of video from the show.

Thank you in advance :) ,
    Mason.

Hehe. Now I realize how cloudy my memory is. The bluejay's name is Jacob, not Jay. The "frog" is actually an iguana named Iggy, and he doesn't even wear a red shirt. (Although I could've sworn there was an episode where someone tries taking off his red sweater and he gets all freaked because it's his "lucky sweater".) And the "little girl monkey...thing" is a gopher. Oh well.

I think the gopher's name might have been Gloria, but I'm not sure though.

yea, the gopher's name was gloria, the iguana's name was iggy and the bluejay was jacob. I used to love that show! I remember there was an episode when iggy wanted to be a rock star.
*That's it! I'm so gonna be like Angela Bower...except with better clothes.*

Disney is trying to bring this show back for a new generation of kids, but that was 2 years ago. It seems the most we'll get back is a DVD, and thats pretty cool. I want my little borther to see this and enjoy it as I did when I was a lad.

I remember watching this show a lot as a kid. The two things I remember most is an episode where Iggy gets amnesia and some of the first episode. I remember in the first episode Holly tried to fit through Gloria's gopher hole and got stuck.

I remember the show too. Came on with Fred Penner's Place and Mr. Dressup. I still remember one quote from the show whenever I hear that weddign song.

"Here comes the bride, big yellow eyes, see how she slithers from side to side."

I used to watch this show every time it was on. I would watch "under the umbrella tree" and "adventures in wonderland." At one point in time, I'm not sure though, I believe the shows were on back to back on disney. I always remembered that jacob was a bluejay, cuz my brother, Jacob, played baseball at the time for a little league team, the bluejays.

Adventures in Wonderland was a trip, my brother on the other hand thought it was stupid and would rather gouge his eyes out with a spoon. I loved both these shows, can't wait until they come out on DVD.
