The latest article reminded me of a movie I haven't seen in years, but that I would like to see again.

The picture of the guy holding the multi-pronged bladed star weapon thing.
I don't know if its from the movie I'm thinking of or not, but it reminded me of it.

Beginning of the movie had the main guy and girl getting married. The cerimony involved a flame in their hands to represent love, which was dunked in a bucket of water. If the love was true, they would be able to pull the burning flame back out of the water. Evil stuff happens, girl gets kidnapped by the evil guys, guy sets off to save her. I seem to remember he had a similar weapon (if thats not it itself) which would glow when thrown and then boomerangs back to the thrower. At the end, its a giant skeleton thing of the big bad guy, the weapon is useless, and they end up destroying it with the fire of their love, which conveniently seems to double as a massive flamethrower.

Anybody remember the name of it?
What am I talking about, SOMEBODY here knows it, thats a given around here, but who's going to be the first to prove their superior retroness? :D

The movie my friend is "Krull", and that weapon you speak of is "the glaive". and yes it has the cyclops, the beast, the fire mares. Ken Marshall was in it and I love this movie to this day. The DVD rules, Tom Bosley (Happy Days Dad) does the narration of the featurette - have fun!

Krull almost made my list but I had to stop naming movies somewhere. Krull had some of the worst special effects ever. But a young Liam Neeson and Ken Marshal made this a good movie. I love the Glaive and The horses that fly. AWESOME

Krull has some elements from the thing , the scene where the changeling is exposed in the woods the effects reminded me of John Carlenters classic , just look at the face and you'll realise what i am talking bout

              Was it Krull?
Huh... maybe I need to find a copy and watch it again, but I don't remember it being Krull with the weapon and all that. I remember Krull having the cyclops that could only see his own death, but were the glaive and the flame in there too?

Trust me it's krull. I own a copy of it. It's on Starz movie channel sometimes. I put the picture in my article because of the Glaive. There are flying flame horses. a cyclops, The Beast. The Lady of the web. And cheesy british acting.
