and are they good?
Black & White isn't an RPG, it's a strategy game. People seem to either love or hate it. I'd advise getting the first one to see for yourself. There is also a sequel, which came out last year, and an expansion pack for both games.
Neverwinter Nights I haven't played, so can't comment there.
I'll lump the MMOs all together here. I started out playing Everquest in 2000, and have played off and on since then. Out of all the still running fantasy RPGs, IMHO it is still the best. The graphics aren't pretty, but if you can get past that there's a lot to like about the game. It's well balanced as MMOs go, and there's tons of content. No matter what level you are, there's a place to hang out.
WoW is like Everquest redux. The graphics are prettier, but after 4 years of EQ, to me it felt very much like starting over. I didn't play it past the free month. If you love Warcraft, then you might give it a look. These days it's the most popular 'traditional' MMO.
As for the other two MMOs you mentioned: I played DAoC for a few months after it first came out so my experiences are probably no longer valid, and I've never played Guild Wars at all.
If you're looking for some good RPGs and don't mind them being old, I'd suggest:
Fallout 1 & 2
Planescape: Torment
System Shock 2
Wizardry 6-8
Might & Magic: World of Xeen and M&M:VII
Ultima Underworld 1 and 2
Ravenloft: The Stone Prophet
In 1998 Interplay released a compilation of 12 games that read like a who's who of classic RPGs called The Ultimate RPG Archive. It's a bit hard to find these days, but well worth it. It has many of the games I listed on it.
