    		 ok so there was this show that between my brother and I all we can remember are that: it came on one saturday morning possibly on CBS or ABC (we didn't have cable so nickelodeon isn't an option). it was a musical and the first word in the title was maybe Shang Ri La and it had a really busy animated opening montage with one or two french words (or so I presume from memory as they aren't english words i remember) and then a girl saying "Its not a mall!".

    my brother claims that it starred Terrence Mann (the singing bounty hunter from all the Critters movies) and it had a little girl that looked like the poltergeist girl kind of (or so he recollects...i don't remember that).

    we saw it twice, only that one episode, and we don't remember it ever coming on again. so it was either a failed pilot or a tv special. i can find NOTHING on the internet about it no matter what keywords i type in. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      		 this is the only musical i see him in on imdb.com, there would be some french in it too. you should look at his other credits too.

        		 thanks but we'd already trolled imdb (we're huge film and tv buffs - probably why this is bugging us so much) and google and the like. it's definitely not beauty and the beast. in the show he played some sort of mechanic. but thanks a lot anyway. i'm glad somebody nipped at the topic! :)

            		 mainly i posted everything i remember in the original topic. our recollection is meager at best. we started thinking about it because for some reason I said "Its not a mall!" and then we both looked at eachother and were like...."Do you remember this show?"....and the insanity ensued. I stayed up until about 2 am on the internet trying to type in anything....every keyword.....

            it took place in this ...hotel or a mall or something of that nature. in the opening title there was animated sequence and it really colorful and i just remember it being the faces of the actual actors superimposed over these cartoon/stop-motion bodies. the theme song was sung by all the people in it.

            my bro was certain terrence mann was in it so we immediately went to imdb and after much searching its obvious its probably not on their website (which some stuff isn't occasionally)....it just shows us how obscure and stupid this show was. haha....like i said, it never aired again after that, but we couldn't have both dreamed it up.
