I will admit, I collect a lot of things, but nothing as sweet and cute as Beanie Babies. what began with the cats quickly turned into a love for bears (no offense to the other animals). and now my collection is quite a great one.

any others here who collect them? share your collection with me. :D

I've got Beanie Babies out the rafters at home. I didn't actually intend to collect so many, but then my aunt started giving them to me a long time ago. I've got over 100 of them now, but nothing worth a fortune. My favorite is Lizzie the lizard.

for me my beanie babies collection started with snorts the bull because at the time my fave color was red and my star sign is taurus.

then i collected a few that have blue because i have blue eyes. there are a few where i have the teenie beani the regular beanie and the beanie buddy.

including all my other beanbag character i have about 200. i also have three furby buddies.

The first Beanies I got were freckles the leopard and Bucky the beaver, but I cut their tags off. I didn't start collecting them seriously until I got Spike the rhinoceros.

I hope this topic isn't too old to hike back up to the top. I also used to collect Beanies, with my first ones being Pounce the Cat, Nanook the Husky, Freckles the Leopard, and Ears the Rabbit. I never cut off any of the tags, and now I have over one hundred of them. I do have a few rare ones, including the three Easter rabbits (Hippity, Hoppity, and Floppity?) and the Princess Diana bear.

Are these things even worth anything anymore?

Not any recent ones. By recent I mean from the last 8 or so years. The only ones that are worth any money are the ones that no one really paid much attention to, and were retrired ages ago, like pre-1996. Pretty much any Beanie produced from 1997 (about the time that Beanie Baby mania swept the globe) on is worthless. Even the regional Beanie Babies aren't worth much. My most valuable Beanie Baby is Buckhingham, which my uncle picked up for me while in England. I saw it on Ebay for about $105.00. Babies like Humphrey, blue Peanut, Slither, or the original dinos go for obscene amounts of money, though.

i have the princess diana bear and the ariel bear (named after the little girl who died of aids. i wanted it because it's name is ariel. it/s with my little mermaid sstuff.) they made too many of them they;ve said on tv that the only way they;d be worth anything now is if half the people who have them throw them away.

I had a ton of Beanie Babies. When I was in the 5th grade (about 1996) those things were huge. I still have my collection, in boxes in the basement. I wouldn't be surprised if I had close to 200. My favorite was the red dog with the floppy ears. and there was a brown dog i think called Bones. He was my first Beanie Baby.

Now it just seems like there's too many beanie babys. i still see them at the mall. i dont think the quality is that great either on the new ones.

I was into Beanie Babies in Pre School. I still like them, but not as vividly as I once did. I have a lot of originals such as Magic and Mystic the dragons, Bongo the monkey, Lizzy the Lizard, and a lot of others. I remeber they used to have entire stores devoted to them. I have no clue the above Beanies worth, so could someone help me out there?

My sister was big on beanie babies, I remeber her being all siked when she got liberty bear (we live in canada fyi) so it was rare and hard to get and worth a ton, now they all sit in a corner because they dont have much value anymore, like most Fads

I am now a huge beanie fan again thanks to this topic! Me and my mom collect them, we have a bear, Issy, who's worth 85-90 dollars! I am going to make a beanie website, and i'll post the link when I'm done.

Thank you so much for making this thread,
