Reading all these threads about how people miss the shows they grew up on, it really got me thinking... WE NEED OUR CHILDHOOD SHOWS BACK!! We need our own retro channel for 80s/early 90s kids.

The channels we once grew up on are now corrupted by teeny boppers and money-hungry scoundrels. I say we start petitions, start riots in the streets, debilitate 'Teen Nick/Disney' so they can start airing classic shows like 'You Can't Do That On Television' or 'Ducktales'. Cartoon Network is too busy focusing on [adult swim] and other late 90s/early 2000s shows so we can't look to them for help. Something must be done about this, and i'm willing to kill for my Saturday Morning Cartoons.

Sounds like the Carton Network's Boomerang channel.

Boomerang's only problem is that they mostly show only Hanna-Barbera shows. Their only progress away from that crappy trend is that lately they're showing WB's Batman: The Animated Series, and Superman from 12:00am to 1:00am, Monday through Saturday. Hopefully, they'll bring back Road Rovers...

I always said that the day I become rich, I would buy my own tv station and play all the good old tv shows and cartoons from my past times...Maybe I would need two channel for shows and one for just old'school cartoons. I would play all the shows and cartoon in order from episode 1 on. I have the most popular old shows on once a week on prime time, same with the cartoons. haha, it's always been a dream....well since the old good shows I liked, stop coming on tv.

Though we do have a new station here in Chicago (It started on January 1st of this year) called MEtv that shows old tv shows, but mostly old 60's and 70's shows. They do play Punky Brewster though. I want to see show's like Webster, Small Wonder, even Silver Spoons. I want to bring back good saturday morning cartoons, give the kids something to enjoy on saturday morning again.

There was a time in the 90's that they would play mosdt of these shows during the summer. I miss that too.

We can only hope that the viewing public suddenly becomes sick of reality programs, cop shows, and medical dramas simultaneously, leaving the ideas-bankrupt TV networks with no choice but to replay all the classic sitcoms and cartoons.

It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa
