Well now, you can argue some of the recent most popular trends, but try to come up with real legends, internet fandom that's been around for a while.

All I can think of that comes close is

    ALL YOUR BASE
    Star Wars Kid
    Keeper/Keeper1st --(Animaniacs guru XD)
    Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
    Ding Fries are Done
    Shii Song
    Mew

                          he counts double!

I'm trying to think of older ones. The dancing baby was a good call, Roadgeek.

Elf Bowling. That was on every laptop in america in the late 90's

Really? It was a really popluar mini-game. Almost like a flash game. You were Santa and the elves were pins. They would moon you and mock you as you bowled at them. It got even more infamous when a rumor got out that it would delete your hard drive on New Years. I think it got tied up in the whole Y2K jazz.

My father actually saved it to his home computer after retiring so my nephews could still play it after turning his laptop in.

                                    newgrounds.com

                                    OH YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE.

When there was nothing else to do, EVERYONE went on newgrounds. I can remember going to the computer room of my local Library .... and every single person would be on newgrounds at some point.

                                    ...

What a sad time the 90's was.

Those Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom Sprite videos are pretty awesome :)

Perhaps the "Mashed Taters" song and of course YTMND

Ebaums World's reputation for stealing stuff and getting paid for it

In the art community there's definately "internet art theft"

And arguably the biggest legendary-ish internet thing of all: 1337 5P3@K "Leet Speak"
Or at least the most annoying internet thing...
