      I see.

May I ask this? What do you do when you collect? Do you try to buy just any game you don't own? Because anyone who does that will always beat me. :P

As I stated in my post I go by very strict rules when buying games.

These are generally the games I purchase:

1- Games I really want to play
2- Games that are very rare
3- Games that are very cheep
4- Games that complete a collection of mine.

That cuts out alot of games I could have, but simply don't want. Like 99% of all sport games. Plus games I just personally don't have a taste for. (Like all the Grand Theft Auto games)

If anyone wanted a more in depth list of what I showed. Here is a link of my games:

Yeah, it's Livejournal. I'm afraid it's the only place I can post and link to.

That list is up to date of all my games save one. I just got XenoGears (non greatest hits!) for the PS1.

Insane, I know. but I am a collector, at some point I'll take a pic of my collection and post them, just gotta get the right cable for my digital camera and gotta alphabetize my games to make them look all nice nice, but i'll eventually make a thread of my gaming stuff. And I kid you not, when i say like 50+ i mean I have at the very least 50 games and then some.

So are you gonna get an X-Box 360, PS3 and a Wii and add those games as well?

Eventually i'll get those systems (the Wii im gettin right awya cuz i wanna play some of the great ne wgame,s oddly enough not really caring bout the downloadable old games namely cuz i own most the old school game si've ever wanted) But i now am smart to wait like 2 years or so befor ie get systems, granted im behind a bit, but i work at a game stor eso i can use new systems as they come into our store like the 360 and eventually the PS3 and Wii.

In 5 years it'll be MUCH easier to get xbox 360 games than it will to get old school games, so i stay not too far awya, maybe more like a year behind, but since new systems are so much more expensive than any of the systems i own (and most were bought back when they came out), I do not care about graphics in the least and all i really see better from xbox to xbox 360 is graphics. I got an xbox for online multiplayer, PS2 for wrestling games and god of war type games, and a Gamecube for resident evil and smash bros.

But then i found tons more to get. But eventually i will collect 360 stuff, but not for YEAR probly wont start colelcting those until the NEXT generation systems or even maybe after that, cuz in 5 years old school games will be scarce, and in 10, damn near impossible, and in 15 years, PS2/xbox/GC games will be the rarities, its an endless cycle, but i dunno what it is, i just have to have a huge collection, its a feeling i get, like its part of who i am and what im here to do.

I have NO intention of ever selling them (only any duplicates i get cuz now im in the process of gettin rid of my greatest hits type games for their original counterparts), just my goal will be to eventually play them all through, but thats more or less for when i am retired in like 30 years (im only 23). Not to mention having a job and a g/f kind of take awya gaming time.
