If you want better hardware and higher quality games, SNES is better. If you want simplicity and sheer massive numbers of good games, then I guess NES is better. There's not much else to it.

The Super Nintendo has better hardware, and better games. But the nes has more games & also has a better design, sooooo I really can't make my desision.

i could've sworn NES only had roughly 600+ games while SNES had 700+. I mena i got full roms for both and thats the score, maybe there's just more hacked roms in the zip file i got for them.

Both are good in my book. Especially the NES.

SNES for me by a long shot. It's probably criminal to say this on here, but I'm not a big fan of the NES (of course I never had one back in the day, so that may be why). There's a mass of games I like for the SNES like Link to the Past, the DKC series, and Mario.

This question is almost impossible to answer but like Panther said NES had a higher ratio of good games (at least in my opinion). Plus it was the first Nintendo console I ever owned so that has to count for something.

Snes is way better that's almost like comparing Playstation with Ps2 there's no discussion. The only thing I would say that Nes had over Snes is that is had more games that's it.

Yeah, I have about 900 snes roms, but A LOT of them are made and remade by random people, some of them arent even games.

You can't gauge a system's library size accurately by counting all files in the "complete" ROMs packages that get spread around on P2P networks. Almost none of them are actually complete, and they usually include tons of duplicates of the same game (including bad dumps and overdumps), hacks, demos, and other homebrew. It's just too polluted and unreliable to count.

SNES because NES uses 18-bit graphical image SNES uses 32-bit graphical image. another thing the Nintendo 64 uses 64-bit graphical image thats how the number 64 with Nintendo got its name.

SNES is better, hence the name Super NES.

NES is better because well all know that the original is better than the sequel.
Also the SNES had too many buttons. The NES had perfect buttony goodness.
NES gave us Mario, Zelda, Samus, and Manaic Mansion. SNES had Pilotwings, The Chessmaster and Mario Paint.
