SEGA used to release their work exclusively their own systems including the SEGA Master System, Genesis, Saturn, & of course... the Dreamcast. Later on, after the demise of Dreamcast, they would make games for other systems. At first, they made a number of exclusive games for X-Box, and then eventually released more on all of the systems.

They also made a HUGE name-sake for themselves at the arcade, releasing some of the best & most innovative arcade games including Farrari 351 Challenge (with the 3 screens), Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Shinobi, House of the Dead, among others.

What do you think, personally, were the BEST of the best SEGA-brand games, regardless of what system they were on.

My personal favorites were the first few releases on X-Box which includes:
- House of the Dead 3 - Works best with the gun, but really great brainless fun.
- Jet Set Radio: Future - Awesome soundtrack & uber-fun game
- Toejam & Earl 3 - I've waited 10yrs for the release of this!
- Outrun2 - Surprisingly, it's really fun due to the mission challenges.

Of course, there's tons of originals that came for their own systems as well as the arcade in which the list goes on & on... Virtua Racing, Daytona USA, SEGA Rally, SEGA GT... etc (notice a little trend?)

What are your personal favorites developed & released by SEGA (regardless of platform)?

G-Loc... wasn't that the game when it first came out in the huge deluxe-arcade cabinet, that it had an X, Y, & Z axis of rotation?

Well I'll have to pick from individual systems since there were so many great games from sega, and they are as follows:

Sega Master System: Phantasy Star, Alex Kidd (any of them), Shinobi, and Black Belt
Sega Genesis:(This list could get pretty long because there were so many great games for this system) Revenge of Shinobi/Shinobi III, Gunstar Heroes, Phantasy Star 2 & 4, Streets of Rage 2 & 3, Aladdin, Flashback, Yu Yu Hakusho (import), Herzog Zweii, Thunderforce series, I think I'll stop here, otherwise I'll be here all day.
Sega CD: (Yes, I know it's part of the Genesis, but still...)Eternal Champions CD, Final Fight, Time Gal, Dragons Lair, Snatcher and Rise of the Dragon.
32X: Mortal Kombat 2, Knuckles Chaotix
Sega Saturn: Virtua Fighter 2, Fighters Megamix, Xmen vs Street Fighter, Panzer Dragoon 2 & Saga, Nights..into dreams, Guardian Heroes, Princess Crown (import), Dark Savior, Dragon Force, oh God, I'll be here all day.
Most of you already know my Dreamcast selection and if I were to pick arcade games we would need another website for me to dedicate it to.
Bring it on...I got EXACTLY what you need!!!

Anything Sonic.

Super Monkey Ball seemed like it was fun, but I never owned a cube. I just HAD to get a PS2.

I'm contesting your info. Sega games were released on other platforms long before they left the console business. Usually it was licensed to another company, but sometimes Sega did the port themselves. Off the top of my head, Sega games have appeared on: Atari 2600, Intellivision, Famicom, NES, PCEngine/Turbografx, Super Famicom, Game.com, R-Zone, MS-DOS, and Microsoft Windows, all long before the death of the Dreamcast.

In any case, my long list of favorites:
Action Fighter
Afterburner II
Alien Syndrome
Azel Saga (Panzer Dragoon RPG)
Burning Rangers
Dynamite Dekka (a.k.a. Die Hard Arcade)
Frogger
NiGHTS Into Dreams
OutRun
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Zweii
Golden Axe
Knuckles Chaotix
Planet Harriers
Shadow Dancer
Shinobi III
Sonic Advance
Sonic Advance 2

Sonic The Hedgehog (Genesis/Megadrive)
