    yeah hi

that's the end result of the region lockout chip on the system and the one not being able to communicate properly

Bypass both chips, and you'll be kinda glad why you were seeing the Nintendo BSOD's.

I hate my NES for this reason. I can barely get it to work! Darn that flashing red light and white screen. but i will try that tip on putting something under it. the only cartridges I can get working without frustration are Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt(I have a zapper as well) and THe Legend of Zelda. Another way to fix this problem is to get a toploader for your NES. THen you won't have a problem. What's BSOD?

BSOD -> BLINKING SCREEN OF DEATH

if you get BSOD just screw open your console and clean your 72pin connector with some rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush i did this once when i first got my console at a used store and it gave BSOD till the end of time and after i cleaned it that way it was all over

It generally means Blue Screen Of Death (usually those screens you get when you use Windows, but those actually have text in them)

What he said, or look on eBay and find a new connector. you can find a new 72-pin connector for as low as $3, and it couldn't be easier to install.
