I remember around '87, or '88 seeing Weird Science on network, like a Saturday matinee, or something, and there was a scene during the big party, in which Lisa opens the door, and there are a bunch of guys with red flower pots on their heads, a la Devo. I've never seen it since then, and obviously it's not on the DVD. I was hoping it would be on some deleted scenes, but there are none (maybe they'll put out an anniversary edition, or something w/ some extras). Anyone remember this at all? Should I not have taken the brown acid?

    Thanks

    dave

I DO know what you're talking about. It's a deleted scene that sometimes gets left in during certain airings. I have seen it before. There are one or two other deleted scenes. One is where Gary and Wyatt are in the kitchen very early in the movie and they are making the popcorn (that gets burned and we see Gary picking through while watching Frankenstein). I can't remember the other deleted scenes right now, but I'm here to let you know that you're not crazy. Hell, it's my favorite movie of all time. I'm one to know.

Here is the deal, sometimes when movies are edited for network TV they take out more risky parts and replace them with normally deleted scenes.

I have a friend that works for the local WB station and sometimes I go and watch movies with him in the studio and he told me that they are doing this more frequently now where in the past they would just cut the scene from the TV edit.
