      Dust Man's not late. He's only halfway into the original series ;)

      If I remember, he was a submission from one of the many contests Capcom held for fans to design their own bosses. Only one of those contests was open to US entries (Mega Man 6). During the credits of Mega Man 8, you get to see the original fan designs for the boss characters, as well as the staff's favorite rejected submissions.

      Early 1998. I screwed up some of those blades, but this drawing was my first real experiment with foreshortening, and I still like the way his feet turned out.
