    		 I've got a bunch of old Rockman fan art sitting around, all of it from at least six years ago, so it's of poor quality compared to what I can do now, but I guess some of it is good enough to show here. I'll start with an old drawing of Blues, a.k.a. "Protoman".

          		 This was shrunk down and used as a link button for what was once a major Mega Man fan site many years ago. I was recruited as the site's resident artist just a few months before the site suffered major server problems and never really came back.

              		 "Break Man" was the disguise he used during the third game. If you'll look closely, you'll see that he's wearing a mask over his face at that point. At the end of the game you learn his real identity and the mask goes away.

                Interesting, I have beaten the game a long time ago but I don't remember him wearing a mask. I know that he was supposed to be Mega Man's brother and the original Dr. Light Proto-Robot of all the future ones. I'll have to beat it again to see it in a different light.

                  You don't have to beat it. Just get to the part where he appears on the Stage Select screen as "Break Man" and look closely at the mugshot. There's a featureless plate hiding his face... or what little you'd normally be able to see of his face, anyway.

                        		 Reaper, I hated that cartoon too! They didn't get anything right except maybe Guts Man.

                        Here's a pic of Rock without all the armor on, based on how he looked in the intro to Mega Man 4, but a bit more clothed. Pencils done in 1998, colors done in 2000.

                          		 Cool, It almost fits in with the aesthic of the game with the colors and all.

                          I remember being excited when you first got to see Rock without his helmet in the second game at the end, It was kind of the first one to hint at the character's backround.

                          The cartoon was a travesty and only lasted two seasons I believe, They contradicted almost everything in the games. I beleive there was a superior Japaneses show at the same time and when it came time to do the American one they just cut corners left and right.

                            		 There were only two episodes of the Rockman anime, direct-to-video. I watcehd the first episode, and although the animation and characters were dead-on to how they should have been, the story was AWFUL. It involves Dr. Wily escaping from a boy's Famicom cartridge (yes, he comes out of the game) into the real world in order to travel back in time and ruin a particular Japanese holiday (they have a holiday celebrating sons, like the opposite of Father's Day). Rockman comes out of the game as well, of course, and must stop him from ruining the childrens' holiday fun. I want to erase it from my brain.

                              LOL! I'll still take it over the 90's American one. I'd even take it over the 80's Captain N series where they turned him green! How you turn the "Blue Bomber" green, I don't know?

                              If they ever get around to making good video game live-action adaptions this would be pretty high on the list. Sure the story is pretty outrageous, But if they really focus on it- I'm sure they could do a good job!

                                		 I really don't think it would work in live action, but I'd be in favor of a good anime series. On the other hand, most of the major elements of the Mega Man universe are "borrowed" from various classic anime and manga (most notably Tetsuwan Atom and Mazinger Z) so it would be a bit redundant.

                                  		 Maybe your right. I would like to see a more serious driven realisitic CG animated movie (Like that Final Fantasy CG movie that tanked a few years ago) because I don't think anything like that has really been done before. Mega Man may fit the bill for it.

                                        		 This is an intaglio etching.

                                        That means I burned a backwards version of the image into a copper plate with an acid bath. The plate is smeared with ink and then pressed against a slightly damp piece of paper. I should still have the plate somewhere. I can't believe it was six years ago!

                                          		 In the late '90s, I did a series of "reinterpretations" of verious characters in colored pencil. I scanned a few of them back then, which I guess is good, because I can't find any of the originals now. These are the only drawings of mine you're likely to see colored by hand in pencil.

                                          Here's the first one I did.

                                          This was nearly nine years ago. I was seventeen at the time. I feel old.
