MS and Sony both tread the beaten path, by the way, since they are in a dominant position in the market and thus have to please the masses. In contrast, Nintendo is just barely holding onto a niché market, so they have to be different or one of the big guys will stomp them out. Or perhaps a new one comes in. Sega's comeback, woo.

SNAKEeyes001 8 years 6 months ago Posts: 212	I am an owner of the PS2 system and I don't care too much for the blue disc device Sony has on their PS3, so I may just get a Xbox 360. $600 is too much and the graphics don't look any better than Xbox 360 games, they look the same.

I know overseas in England, they're offering what translates to around $1015 for a bundled PS3 with the 60gig hard drive + 3 games... a flight game, racing game, and some stupid karoke game. Each game, they figured... came out to around $75.00! You'll have your niche market, but if you don't sell out big-time during your launch... you're going to have troubles the rest of the way thru... See: 3DO & their $699 pricing point.

System 8 years 5 months ago Posts: 74809	Nintendo will crush Sony with the Wii. There is no doubt. The Wii will be $150-$250 while the PS3 is gonna be $500-$600. And PS3 copied everyone at E3. Sony says, "Look what the PS2 controller now has. It dosn't have rumble, but it has motion sensors for no reason!" Talk about dumb. Nintendo will rule!(me being a Nintendo and Sega freak)
