I've been racking my brain for way too long now and I just can't remember the name of this show. I don't remember much of it, but from what I do it was about these 3 kids (2 guys and a girl) who were making a band when something happened and they were able to go to the cyber world.
The main character had some sort of thing on his wrist that sent him between the real world and the computer world (which turned him into a silver and red robot-guy) when he touched it. The other guy had to bang his drumsticks together and say "lets kick some giga-butt!". If memory serves he turned into a tank.
The main bad guy tricked this unpopular kid into helping him release his evil minions, but in the end the kid finds out he was helping the evil one and befriends the good guys.
That's all I can remember, I hope it's enough.
