If you see the FPS's on consoles before Halo and after Halo you'll see how much it influenced alot of games especially in terms of story progression, musical score and A.I. where they would flank you and most especially in how Halo scenarios seemed frantic and fast paced without being too convoluted. In those terms Halo 1 scored big! It's not overrated just not appreciated for it's contributions. As for Halo 2, it was over hyped but still very solid, problem is other games caught up to Halo in terms of it's frantic pace and gameplay so it seemed outdated. But a proper sequel nonetheless.

bamasailorjra 8 years 6 months ago Posts: 343	The last sci fi first person shooter I played was Quake 4 on 360. That game was pretty good. Long play time, fast paced, lots of action. I just didn't get into Halo. I thought it was ok, but I found the game to be easy and sometimes it seemed like I was just going through the motions and didn't really have a good time playing it.
