Disney wanted something original. they wanted an action-packed games with a classic disney-style epic storyline, but with a , say, square enix game platform? and in that, they made an original and awesome game.


Sure, not all the disney characters and square characters match up in any way together, and, all the characters didnt really relate to themselves compared to their original personas (IE mickey being such a badass or cloud and the FF gang completely unrelated to their own games) but the fact is that the characters make up the element of this correlation between different worlds. In the sense of iot doing so, it makes a totally unique and interesting story-line, backed up with memorable characters that everyone can relate to.

Thats the magic and reasoning (indeed the justification) behind Kingdom Hearts
