I'm curious, why not? Is it the grind, server stability or playerbase? Do you believe the other MMO's coming out will be better? I've never tried guildwars always wanted to play it. There's Age of Conan & Warhammer Online which both look like good MMORPG's

Thanks, I REALLY hope Bioware is doing it this time. Obsidian did a poor job on the last one. :(

Its the grind. Ive seen people lose jobs/gfs due to the game. Granted its not like that for everyone but its a huge time waster, I mean huge. If its the social aspects you can get that hanging out with your friends. The story is incredibly weak, nothing that challenged my intellect. Aww I dont mean to get down on this but those are my thoughts. It is a fun game but if it were shorter where you were encouraged or by lack of interest you could walk away from the game, imho it would be a better game. I think anytime you put too much time into a virtual world you're looking for problems or patching old ones.

PS3 will go on sale first in Japan on 11/11 at a price of 59,800 yen for a 20GB model, with a 60GB model set at open pricing. The US will get the system on 11/17 with cost set at, respectively, $499 and $599.

The thing about the PS3, though, is that difference between the prices isn't just the hardrive space. The cheaper of the two ($500) doesn't have memory stick slots, HDTV compatability, or wifi capabilities. Unlike the two bundles for the X-Box 360, you can't buy seperately what you miss out from with the cheaper pack either.

I just don't see Sony doing as well this time around. You have the 360 for half the price of the PS3 (less if there's a price drop before November) and the Wii for even less (under $300, they say), so the price alone will be a turn off. Especially if the cheaper version is missing core features.

                          Holy *BLEEP*-ity *BLEEP*!

There's nothing more I can say on the subject, but I do feel betrayed. I hope the PS3 falls over dead for this.

Sorry for being so extreme, but with the lack of originality in games in general combined with the rising cost of games along with the respective consoles....are we about to see the end of console gaming?

At this rate...I wouldn't mind, nor care....

Does anyone else think that Sony's idea of a motion sensitive controller was a rip-off of Nintendos. I doubt Sony had plans of releasing a controller like that, corporate espionage anyone? Or did Nintendo tip their hand to soon?

Ya I saw that too but I think Wii's controller is better designed. From what I saw of the PS3 controller you couldn't get the same freedom of movement that you could with Wii's. I think that it might become a trend and the other console makers (or third parties at that) might come up with a similiar controller design but I think Nintendo will be way ahead of them in design and game play that the copy-cats will look gimmicky, just a guess though; I think Nintendo's decision to build a console so heavily designed around the controller will prove that.

But it includes a Blu-Ray drive. Only at this E3 did Microsoft show off the HDDVD drive that you can buy as an accessory for the 360. I don't know the price but with all the goodies Id say the PS3 and 360 are about even in pricing. Technically Blu-Ray is a better technology over HDDVD; it will be interesting to see which one will ultimately replace DVDs.

I don't care. I'm happy with my PS2, because it plays DVDs and please don't say another word about the PS3, XBox 360 or the E3 crap to me again.
