I loved that game when I was younger! I used to play it all the time on my NES. But sadly, my NES broke a few years ago, but at least I can still play the GB version! Speaking of which, do you think that Nintendo will ever remake it?

i remember this game too. i dont know if nintendo will ever remake it per se, but it may likely make an appearance on nintendo's new console, Wii, which will have downloadable back catalogs of old nintendo games, which will include NES games.

It would be cool to have him as a playable character in the next Smash Brothers game

I played that game almost every day when I was seven. Captain N was a slap in the face to Capcom, Nintendo, Namco, and Konami.

I own it and played it last around christmas, It was a very fun game. Not the best NES had to offer though but it was ok. Maybe U can still fix your NES if you didnt throw it away, if you did then getting another one wont be so hard either.

I thought mine was broken too, it was the first NES I ever gotten and my grandpa got it for me so it's special to me, but last year I fixed it, it was more dirty then broken. just FYI

Great game! I've been hearing rumors that Nintendo is remaking it for the Revol... I mean Wii.

He is going to be a playable character in the next Smash Bros. game "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" for the Wii.

That old stupid "Wii"...why couldn't it be for Gamecube. :-P

That aside, I remember Kid Icarus. Never played a game with him in it, though, but he was my favorite character on Captain N.

While I eventually ended up enjoying Kid Icarus, it sure has a steep learning curve.

The first 3 levels that scroll up and you die if you try to jump on a platform 1/2 inch below the bottom of the screen. Then the maze like dungeon where you spend alot of time backtracking to the hospital to remove the DAMN EGGPLANT from you head. Then you get to do the 3 left to right scrolling levels (with the obligatory) ice level. Followed by another dungeon. Then you get to do the 3X scroll up thing again.

Not that I'm trying to bash the game, but when that and Metroid were released together under the newly named Password Series...I think Kid Icarus had alot to live up to and could have used a few tweaks.

Yeah, the only problem is that I don't know how to pronounce "Icarus".
I hope it isn't pronounced "Ick-er-us" because that sounds ugly. How do you pronounce it?

Oh yeah, Nintendo fans the world over don't seem to shut up about it. I once played it on this really slow ass emulator with crappy sound, but I don't think I'll truely give it a playthrough until I find it on the Virtual Console.

Plus, hey, Pit's going to be in the next Smash Bros. You can't help be interested in his game right now.
