Here's an ad from 1802:

It's from a reproduction of the 1802 Old Farmer's Almanac. If I had the original, it'd probably be worth at least a million bucks.
EDIT: For those of you who don't know 19th century fonts, it says "JOHN WEST, at his Book-Store, No. 75, Cornhill, Boston, Keeps constantly for Sale, a well-assorted and large Collection of BOOKS, in every branch of literature. Also, Bibles, Testaments, Psalters, Spelling-Books of every kind, Psalm-Books, Primers, etc. by the gross, dozen or single; together with every Article in the STATIONARY line; with all which Country Merchants and others may be supplied, Wholesale or Retail. SOCIAL and PRIVATE LIBRARIES supplied on reasonable terms.
