Not like I haven't done something like that before. Back when I had my Genesis I called it Sega (because I somehow didn't know it was called the Genesis, but I digress).

System 8 years 7 months ago Posts: 74809	I've heard about this this morning. The WII? I really dont like that name at all. Sony and Xbox fanboys have so much to say already. It's not enough that their fanboy ramblings are totally anoying now the big N has to give them more ammo? But besides that I still dont like that name. Ive never had a problem with a console name, but this one I have to say I'd love to see changed before release. Ofcourse that probably wont happen. I at least hope that they wont put the name WII in big letters on the console or I might start considering not getting one. so bad

System 8 years 7 months ago Posts: 74809	Nintendo's sure a long way from their NES/SNES glory years of the 80's and 90's. I think things started to fall apart midway through the release of the N64 and its been downhill since.

I thought about getting a Gamecube, but the only game I wanted to play on it was Super Smash Bros. Melee, so I decided not to. With the ability to download older games onto the device (that's all I'm going to call it), I might think about getting one. (On the other hand, I might decide to get a PSP, instead.)

Dawg 8 years 7 months ago Posts: 484	It'll grow on you... believe me... many peeps thought "play station" was a retarded name, but that grew into a household name. Wii looks & sounds weird, but it's the same system that it was when it was called "revolution"... The term "revolution" just sounds much 'cooler' because it feels like a more mature name than "game cube". It's the 'new revolution of gaming'.... ...but eventually, as silly as it is... wii CAN (not will) because a name adopted into our daily lives like X-Box and Playstation (although it's now referred properly as 360 & PS3 for short).
