        		 If anything, probably 1996 because of the cancellations of Rocko, Pete and Pete, and Ren and Stimpy.

        It started getting even worse around 1998-1999 (Both 1998 and 1999): Shows like Ren and Stimpy, Looney Tunes, Garfield, Rocko, Nick Arcade, Salute your Shorts, old All That episodes, old Rugrats episodes, Ahh Real Monsters, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Double Dare, and other classic Nickelodeon shows stopped airing.

              		 I would say somewhere between 1999-2000. I still watched some of the shows (early Sponngebob (admittingly),and Rugrats, but there was hardly anything else worth watching besides that.

                		 shows like spongebob and the fairly odd parents are quite good shows, but how comes they never show the very first episode of the farily odd parents where timmy gets cosmo and wanda as his fairy god parents

                  It got better when they started Korra in 2012, though.

                          		 It's a sad fact, but the great shows of the 90's didn't resonate with the next generation of kids. They found a new (and smaller) batch of ideas and have been re-using them ever since.

                              In 1996, Rocko, Ren and Stimpy, and Pete and Pete were cancelled.
                              In 1997-1999, many classic Nicktoons and classic game shows stopped airing reruns.
                              In 2000, the only thing good you could watch pretty much were Rugrats and CatDog. The reason I didn't say Spongebob was because it wasn't that popular back in 1999-2001.
