The problem with PS1 is that the games are ran off CD's, which can be up to 700MB (about 750MB when you factor in FAT, Subchannel data, ect), and iirc Dial-up is still the majority (if anyone would like to prove me wrong, do so), and it'd take like 40 hours for a dialup user to download ONE CD image. On the other hand, it takes me ~35 minutes to download a CD image over (SF)(F)(HT)TP.

Remember, not everyone uses broadband. Nintendo games, on the other hand, vary from as low as 40KiB (older NES Games) to ~65MB (most 2001-2003 Nintendo 64 games), so this would win for everyone.

So yeah, this goes back to my anti-sigpic argument.

I like the second one and the seventh one, but I've never really played any others.

Thanks for that Adventure_of_link. Would it be out of the question for Sony to remakr the games on DVD instead? I think I heard they are planning to do that for the seventh installment, but the others deserve their shot as well.

To stay competitive with the Wii (remember that the big N is going to let people download their retro games for free, 3rd parties may charge a fee), they'd... well, actually have some chance to gain moneys.

Remember XBox ? Ah yes, good ole Microsoft, charging for their Tech Support. They decided to give an exception to the XBox, when people were complaining by the masses that their XBox kicked the bucket, and MS charged them for Tech Support. In order to stay competitive, they had to do this, which in turn, caused MS to lose moneys on the XBox.

And we all know Sony is going to copy the Wii (hell they've copied Nintendo over and over so many times it's unreal), so they'd actually still have a chance at making moneys, because at least a good 95% of Playstation games came from 3rd parties. Also, we all know there's going to be people dumb enough to rebuy games, heck, look at the gameboy advance. Pretty much, that thing was remake city.

Anyone see the Final Fantasy XIII trailer yet? While there's obviously no way to tell whether it'll be good or not, it was damn entertaining. It's just odd that I'm watching a showcasing of FFXIII when FFXII isn't even out yet. :/

Of course given the PS3 price tag, it'll be a LONG time before I get my mits on XIII, so I shouldn't be getting excited over it.

I haven't seen the thirteenth installment yet, but I am looking forward to getting 12. I don't have 10 anymore thanks to my children and their tendancy to touch objects not their own.

I have not seen Advent Children but I am looking forward to that too.

Advent Children is great. From what I've seen it's has gotten a lot of undeserving flack, but if you just watch it for fun, like it's intended for, it's perfectly fine.

Surprisingly I like the English dub better than the Japanese sub. Usually it's the other way around for me.

Maybe he likes the English dub better because the voices sound more natural to him?

Sorry, I never liked Final Fantasy except for Tactics and Crystal Chronicles. I'm more of a Dragon Quest/Warrior Fan and as for FF XI, I'm more of a WoW player. I never understood the appeal of FF and never understood the loyalties people have for the series. Theres alot of other RPG's that have not only better storylines but better characters. Only thing that makes FF good is the production values and pretty graphics is nice, but doesn't move me.
