No, this isn't a "What is your favorite game?" post, I was wondering if anyone had ever seen or heard of an NES cartridge that held over 100 games. I used to own 2 of them, one with 112 games (best i can remember) and one with 206 games (i'm not sure exactly, i just know it was over 200). They had a ton of classics on them like SMB, Adventure Island, 1942, and a load of others. A few that it didn't have were The Legend of Zelda and the Castlevania series. They were some really weird looking things. The best way to describe them is they looked like two nintendo cartridges joined together width-wise with a ribbon sticking out of the middle (don't ask, I have no idea why) I don't remember why or how they came into existence, I just know my uncle had a friend who was a game developer and he gave them to me, and that's how I got them. Unfortunately I gave them back to my uncle once I got SNES (funcoland didn't want them) and he has since lost them. I was wondering if anyone else had ever seen these oddities, because no one I know has and I was wondering if they were as rare as I once thought they were.

Well when you're 7 years old and games are 50 bucks a pop... you do the math.

yeah, it's hard to believe that those 8 bit games used to be so expensive, i wish i would have known about these multiple game cartridges when i was younger, would have saved me a lot of money

the multicarts where not that easy to get, you could only really get them at asian import export stores or overseas, remember, no internet or online anithing back then. i remember 10 in one for famicom and the multicarts for atari 2600 but was never able to get either

The ultimate NES cartridge is probably the NWC 1990 Cart. There are only 116 in circulation still...

Those seem to be import carts which didn't work alone on your NES. Hence the "other" cart which is one of many universal adaptors such as the Honey Bee adaptor.

Also, those carts are mostly pirate carts. Not official Nintendo stuff at all. Not that rare or even that wanted stuff.

Oh yeah, you better believe I shelled out the cash for it! I think I had some $10 off coupon or something, but I still spent around $70 for the cart. I rented it first and was hooked, had to buy it. I credit this game as the one that sparked my interest in the RPG genre. Ever since that I introduced myself to all sorts of titles.

I've never encountered an NES cart with a multitude of games, but I've heard of flash carts and what not. One thing that irked me is how when they released past NES hits on the GBA they were one game, one cart. I just think they should have fit a few games on the cart and sold it at a reasonable price. I just couldn't see myself buying one of those games I already owned for around $20 a pop. Multiple games would have been more enticing.

there are still alot of older games that sell for alot. i doubt because of the game, but probably because the obscurity.
