      Aside from normal sports equipment:

Entertech waterguns - Super-realistic looking squirt guns. You might have been able to knock off a liquor store with some of these back in the 80s.

Slip N' Slide - We used to put it facing downhill... yeah we were pretty dumb.

I have the original Slip-N-Slide from the 80's. I remember playing withit one time. I sliped, cut my ankle on a tree bark, had a sore stomach and briused(sp) knees. Just about a week ago I found it still in it original box with everything and decided to take it out since my little niece had just gotten her first pool. I quickly realised why it hasn't been played with in many summers. We didn't have the luxery of soft air cushing and things lol.

Also and big thing for me was my BIG WHEEL, and BMX Bike. A nice Baseball mitt and ball, Super Soakers, and those funny Monsters Sports toys (The one's which had gross monster faces in the shapes of Footballs, Baseballs, Soccorballs, ect). Tyco RC Cars were pretty Big and Tiger Electronic Handhelds (Still got my Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat ones!)

OMG!! I remember those!! Never had one but a cousin did. He had the one that looked like a Tech9 haha. I looked real and had battery operated motion to it! I can't believe they even had tv commercials for those!! That would dare make it on tv or toy stores today. I think LazerTag caused more of an uproar back then that those. I found a website that shows them, I remember the Rambo one too. Here

Those were great, except the motor would burn out in them fairly quickly. But, hell....even broken they were fun to play with.

Aside from riding bikes and sports, I used to love those guns that would shoot the little plastic discs. Those things were better than squirt guns, but pretty much any type of gun was pretty fun to play with as a kid. Cap guns, those guns that shot little yellow BB's, and just plain fake guns that sounded "kinda like a real one" when you pulled the trigger.

Body boards were a lot of fun, as well. Actually, just about everything at the beach is about 10 times more fun as a kid, but body boards reigned supreme.

Honorable mentions go to: Big Wheels, fireworks, foam chinese stars, Laser Tag, and plastic sleds (not those inner tubes or discs, although it was kind of fun to try and spin down a hill).

yeah, the motor did burn out on my cousins gun pretty quickly.

I had a western style cap gun thnat youhad to load the ribbon, good times. Those guns with the disks and little yellow BBs were fun too.....till someone got shot in the eye of course.

Sure, guns with dicks were the best. You didn't have to cock them before you shoot them.

Eh...I'll go stand in the corner now.

Thanks for the heads up Nippy, lol. I would have thought that some kind of word filter would have caught that.

i recently tried using a friend's sister's skip it. I was doing great, only i spun it way to fast, it wrapped around my leg, and konked out my knee. OUCH! But personally, i liked filling super soakers with hot sauce, and then spraying it at unsuspecting victims. I was not mentally ill, i just liked to have a little fun.
