I'm in the middle of a heated debate with a buddy in my office over the team names/mascots in Double Dribble; the original NES 8-bit version. I've googled the hell out of the game and even found 2 FAQ's but neither of them list ALL of the actual team mascots. I'm almost positive it's the Los Angeles Lakes and the Boston Frogs. Then I'm still debating whether its the Chicago Ox and the New York........ Anyone out there know the mascots off the top of their head or have quick access to the game/emulator??

    DOWBLE DWIBBLE!

    thanks!

I thought Los Angeles was the Breakers...

New York Eagles, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Breakers, and Boston Bullfrogs

thanks for the link. now that they mention the "breakers" i think you might be right. All I have to go on is the image burned into my memory of the mascot dressed up as what looks to be a Lake dancing at halftime for the los angeles team. However, naming the Chicago team the "Bulls" on the game would have violated the NBA team's license right? I could have sworn all the teams (except new york) had similar names or at least mascots that represented the same color as the actual NBA team.

        Chicago Bulls = Chicago Ox

Los Angeles Lakers = Los Angeles Lakes (or Breakers)

Boston Celtics = Boston Frogs (or bullfrogs. regardless, both are green)

New York Knicks = Well, that was the team where they gave up trying to get creative i guess.

I'm going home now to dig up my emulators.
