Just wondering if anyone else saw the preview for the family guy video game in gamepro magazine. I have a subscription to gamepro and got my magazine in the mail the other day so I don't know if it's available at newstands yet. It showed some screenshots from the game and it looks just like the cartoon because they used cel shading. This was the only place I've seen screenshots so far.

I haven't heard about it yet, but maybe there are some video game websites that have details about it like Gamespot.com and Gamepro.com.

Hopefully they don't screw this one up like they (game companies) seem to do with almost every other cartoon-themed game.

The two South Park games were mediocre at best... disappointing to say the least.

Simpsons had some OK games, but most were just fair at best. Simpsons Hit & Run was pretty fun, but they should really use cel-shading for these games instead of putting them in a 3D world... it's the cartoon FEEL you're going for, so cel-shade them!

Family Guy should take a SIMILAR Hit&Run approach (which is borrowed, of course, from Grand Theft Auto)... and make the gameplay very open-ended with various missions that you can choose, and a bunch of mini-games.

I dont know if they released what gameplay will be like... but it'd be nice if they kept it open ended...

...and the games graphics tried to focus a LOT on how the cartoon is laid out with cel-shading, but enough detail to really make you feel like you're in the cartoon.

south park for n64 was a decent game. it was so off-the-wall funny and very entertaining. plus, it stuck to the cartoon itself, as you played different scenarios of the episodes in FPS mode, i thought that was pretty righteous.

Interaction was still very minimal. I was just playing the South Park game last week, and it just felt like a winter ghost-town with minimal interaction. Granted, it came out awhile ago... but it also didn't recieve a golden award for its time either.

I think they were trying to be a little Goldeneye-like when they thought of the South Park game.... Chef's Luv Shack was ok for a trivia game, but still lacking... sounds were good, though & South Park Rally I think bit the dust. I may have to replay it to get a better judgement on it, however.

I have the South Park game for Playstation. It's all right, there are some fuuny parts in the game. It's pretty hard because these flying saucers are destroying the town and I'm trying to aim for the saucers but they keep moving out of the way. It's the same way with some of the enemies like the giant evil turkey.

In this game, it should be like the Simpsons arcade game, and then put in random fights with the chicken  He just pops up every few levels and an all out brawl goes out.
