Sorry to bump this old thread back up, but what the hell? Why doesn't anyone want to tape Pinwheel?!?

    %#$ Dammit!

I would have as many TVs and VCRs as there were network and cable television stations and tape around the clock non-stop

And then come back to this time and make good quality encodes of it all (NO REALVIDEO, NO FLV, and no Fugly Logos on any of it!) Preferably DivX, and Get a Dual 2.5GHz PowerMac with a terabyte or two of disk space connected to an OC-48 and share the love.

    sheesh.

You especially would have to tape Early Nickelodeon. I'm calling Guy Pearce and ask if I can borrow his Time Machine.[/b]

I'd tape commercials and lots of 'em. I'd also go back and tape some of those bumps and station IDs from the local stations because I can't find them online anywhere.

I'd also go back to the premium channel days of the Disney Channel and tape every single feature-length cartoon so I don't have to wait for them to come out on DVD again. :D

Mostly cause I'm sure the rest of the stuff will eventually be on DVD.

I'd just make my weird tape collages of TV footage that I make nowadays, except it would be cooler because it would be retro. There'd be way less channels, and no porn, but there would be lots of great old stuff. Old commercials, old news events, old sports, old anything. I only get some of that on my tapes.

I'd tape all the old cartoons/sitcoms/action-adventure shows from the 80s,,both the ones i watched back in the day and the ones i only learned about long after the fact. Plus, i'd tape hours upon hours of 80s wwf/nwa/wccw/awa/uwf, as well as over 10 tapes of 80s music videos (i'd be using those 10 hr tapes mind you, to show you how many music videos i'd have )

However, some technicalities must be brought up. First, how would you avoid seeing your younger self and screwing up the time-space continium? Second, where would you live,,you will need a tv set to tape all these things, after all.

I'll just tape Samurai Pizza Cats, Goof Troop.

I could manage getting Pinky & The Brain, and Animaniacs since I have connections to the WB. I was good friends with one of the animators sons who've gone to the same school as me. I swear that Kitchens is a better security gaurd than that fat security guard in Animaniacs.

The show I want more to get my hands on is Histeria. That show rock me socks! xD

I would also tape that show "You Can't Do That On Television" Great show. There was this show I would record also. It was great, but can't think of the name of it.

This guy opened up his suite and his body glowed (silver I think) and this silver ball came out and made just about anything from a gun to a car. When he needed energy, he got it from a power outlet. That movie has been on my mind for 5 years now or more.

That would be one of them. Too many to name.. I guess also GI Joe, He-man, Transformers, Different Strokes. So many shows.. Rags to Riches.

I would go to the 80s, and tape any cartoons not already on DVD (stuff like Gummi Bears, Wuzzles, Alvin and the Chipmunks, etc.), any sweet commercials, The New Monkees (just to see what it was like), and old episodes of Friday Night Videos (for those of you who don't know, Friday Night Videos was NBC's answer to MTV, which had celebrity hosts). I might also be fun to just let a tape run for 6 hours at some random time to see what comes up.
