I have a fairly large and extensive "Saturday Night Live" collection. I have been working on it since early 1997, when I was eighth grade. I am now twenty-three and a college grad, and the collection keeps on rolling!
Here's what I have amassed in the last nine years:
Starmaker Videos (Eatontown, NJ-based company that stopped making the videos in 1999)
Best of 1975, 1976, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993
1992 Presidential Bash
15th Anniversary Special
SNL Goes Commercial Vol. 1
Wayne's World Special
Best of Robin Williams
Best of Saturday Night Live 1985-1980 Vol. 3
NBC Home Video (1998-2003, 2006-)
Bad Boys of Saturday Night Live (DVD)
Best of Steve Martin (VHS)
Best of Chris Rock (VHS)
Best of Adam Sandler (VHS)
Best of 1996-1997 (VHS)
Best of Game Show Parodies (VHS)
SNL Presidential Bash 2000 (VHS)
Best of David Spade (first release under NBC Home Video's new DVD collection)
Best of Alec Baldwin (the other 1st release under NBC home Video DVDs)
Lions Gate DVDs (2003-2006)
Best of Dana Carvey
Best of Phil Hartman
Best of Jon Lovitz
Best of Mike Myers
Best of Chris Kattan
Best of Jimmy Fallon
25th Anniversary Special
The Best of Molly Shannon
Saturday Night Live The First Five Years
I also have tapes from the 1997-1998 season until now of various episodes, specials (some of which I now own on DVD, some I don't). I may begin to weed this collection out in the near future, though I like having the videos around--there are some good late 90s commercials on the tapes).
I also have the books "Saturday Night Live the First Twenty Years," "Live From New York: An Uncensored History of SNL," a t-shirt, a drink tumbler, various magazines.
Ok, this is a little supurfulous, but I really enjoy my collection.
Does anyone else own anything "SNL" that is interesting? Comments are welcome!!
Allison :-)
