I didn't think there was a NES version of Klax... I remember the first home-version of the games was for the TurboGrafix-16 & then a MUCH inferior version came out for the Genesis which I got 'cause I didn't have a TG-16 (but I did play it).

However... Tengen's games were the best on the NES, and were the most popular unlicensed games (mostly 'cause of the lawsuits involved)... Tetris is the most well known, and I should have stole the copy from Blockbuster when I had the chance... well, kept it & never returned it paying just the fee of the game. I think I reember even OWNING the game until I returned it 'cause it was boring... that was when it first came out. Man, do I want to kick myself in the ass now since it can fetch maybe 500 or more on E-Bay now.

Most of the Tengen NES games were pretty good.
Ms. Pac Man, Vindicators, Gauntlet, Tetris, Shinobi, Paperboy 2, Alien Syndrome, After Burner... and all that other good stuff...

But I can't remember half of how good those were since it was so long since I played 'em... but Tetris still rules...

What is the best non-licensed NES game you've ever played?

The game is to private to say

In reply to Dawg, there is an NES version of Klax used in a regular non-licensed Tengen cart (you know, those weird black ones.) and it only cost me $3!
