This is awesome. I'll definetly be buying it.

I wonder if I should sell my old books on Ebay?

you probably wouldn't get much for those
considering amazon is selling them around the 12 dollar range
i'm keeping all my old ones (i have most of them) for nostalgic reasons

i got this because I'm a packaging freak...the hardcover alone sold me
and a new introduction by watterson (very rare for him to speak) is just awesome

Yep, just looked on Ebay and there aren't any going for much more than $10 bucks. Guess I'll be keeping them.

I just preordered this and the complete Far Side collection. It's hard cover too, and it's already out.

C'mon now, you should be making some fat artist's cash right?

Or are you a 'starving artist'?

That's cool, are you going to an art school? I graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas 9 years ago and I've been an artist in the game industry ever since.

You've got some nice art. Have you ever played with any 3D software?

Yeah, 3D is definetly a different medium. I haven't really drawn anything since the late 90's, although I need to get back into it.

Sounds like you'd make a good concept artist since you want to stick with 2D. Have you tried Painter? It seems to be what most concept artists are using these days.

Yep, a wacom tablet is really useful with painter.

You've probably heard of these guys, but they're a couple of the top concept aritsts in the industry, movies and games. I'm almost positive they use painter, but don't quote me on that.
