I only beat number 1, 2, and 4. but never with just the knife. The hardest one was Resident Evil 4...in fact, it was the hardest game I ever played...next to ninja gaiden

hahah re1 is such a classic game. i much prefered the first original press rather then the ''directors cut'' which did have more blood of course but lacked the killer music the original had.

never beat the game with just the knife, but if you did that, couldnt you play the game as Akuma or something haha?

Can you beat the game with a knife? It is possible, but it's going to be hard. I saw a video of a person that killed Tyrant the first time with a knife. You got to have good dexerity though.

I think in RE 2, after you got Tofu and Hunk with the other extra weapons there's another guy that you can unlock. I vaguely remember. I forgot his name but all he is equiped is a knife and a herb. I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I love the Res series and think that 4 was one of the best games I have ever played!

The original will always be great though for the 'amazing' voice acting!

              'What! What is this'

              'Almost had a Jill sandwich'

and lets not forget Barry's overuse of the word 'Lockpick'

I remember downloading the intro from the first one some years back taken from the Japanese release (Biohazard as it is known there) and it was uncut and a bit more violent! Worth a look if you can still find it?!

Barry Burton NEEDS to make another appearance in the series though!

I´ve played Resident Evil 2 and 3 and beat them. Resident Evil 1 a little bit. But I didn´t even thought about fighting equipped only a knife. It´s madness. I had seen a movie of a guy beating the tyrant with a knife only, by the way here is the link: http://www.residentevilfan.com/multimedia.asp

I think it´s a great game but you require too much expertise (and of course, the knife) to kill such a monster and the whole zombie infested city.

Resident Evil 4 can be kind of tough, but the rocket launcher is a big help. I cecommend picking one up every so often.

i've never done it with just the knife, but i've done it with just a handgun, the original that was. it was the first game that scared me, seeing at it was, what? 1996? i was about 8/9 at the time, and the cutscene when you first see a zombie freaked me out, can't explain why

I've done Code Veronica X with just the knife ^_^

I absolutely adore zombie games more than anything else, but I can't tell you why (which is why I love all George Romero movies, too!).

I've played all of them except for Resident Evil 4, but I want to real soon. Hey, is Sherry anywhere in that game? What happened to her? I think that Leon gave her up to the government or something (a prologue in RE3), but I've heard nothing else about her...

It was rather surprising that the knife in CV was a hell of a lot more useful. I really liked taking off the zombie's kneecaps then shanking him along his entire backside with it.

Resident Evil 4 is the 2nd hardest game I have ever played, the 1st being Ninja Gaiden (Xbox version). The other Resident Evil games are hard only because of the bad controlling and camera angles.

i thought 4 was kinda easy, fighting a mob of angry villagers was fun...

i could never beat any of the others cuz of the controls....

I can't wait till 5 comes out... those zombies/things? seem more challenging!!!

Now I have to strongly disagree, on RE4 not ninja gaiden.

I beat RE 4 within 7 hours of opening the case the disc was in. RE 4 was by far the best game I played in '05 but it was patetically easy. I havn't tried the knife run yet but I guess its worth a shot.

2 hours 11 min with chicago typewriter is my fastest clear time. used only one mixed herb too.

Ghosts n Goblins (NES) is the hardest game ever, with Ninja Gaiden (x-box) a close second

Yeah it his, prety nice too.

Bought the Gamecube only to play RE remaques and do the old ones again.

RE4 is one of the best modern games i ever played, totaly revolutionised the gender.

Not THAT hard, what is hard is to beat the bonus mode when you get to fight zombies and have some low time to kill the most, think iv'e had as much fun with that than actually doing the game...maybe not...but you get the point

P.S. RE movies are a big load of CRAP
