    		 This would have been in the SNES/Genesis era. For a long time, Sega had been conducting a series of negative ads on TV bashing Nintendo, and Nintendo had been ignoring them. Until finally the big N decided they'd had enough and created this full two page ad that ran in Nintendo Power and in several other video game magazines. This was right after the whole 'blast processing' fiasco, and the ad featured a picture of the Sonic balloon that hit a lamppost in the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade, and they basically tore Sega a new one. Anyone remember what I'm talking about, or better yet, know where I can find a scan?

      		 I don't really remember that one, but I gotta admit all that Nintendo vs. Sega was GREAT for gaming in the 90's. 8)

      It was like the space race between the US and USSR, where each side would make a great improvement and thus bettering everyone else. :D

      In the current age of monster corporate powers, monopolies, and subsidary companies, there is little innovation and creativity going around and I think that really shows. :(

              		 I don't remember seeing any ad with the Sonic balloon...but this educational two page ad sprung to mind when you mentioned Nintendo finally lashing back at Sega.
