I know that you have to remember these. Almost everyone I know had one or more.
Since 85 I have had somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 Swatches (my parents would buy me one or two for each new school year plus what i would save and buy).

Presently I have 6 that are fully functional, 5 that are pretty much dead and somewhere around 15 in a box in my mothers mini storage unit.

I normally swap them around every couple of weeks.
I am presently weraing my grey pinstripe one. I will have to take pix of them and post them here.

Since I got my first Swatch in early 85' it has been the only brand of watch that I have worn on my wrist.
    20 years and going!!

I loved my Swatch watch! I had a few, but my favorite was like hot pink and black. I remember the hands on the watch were neon green and glowed in the dark.

I had a couple. One had a black band, a silver case and the face of the watch was clear so you could see the gears moving. Pretty sweet.

The other one had a nean raibow keyboard-like patern on the band and the watch itself was neon green. And it was flaming

Anyone remember the huge swatch watch clocks?

I had a few growing up....only problem was I had to keep them in a box at night because they ticked so loudly they'd keep me awake, even across the room.

I can see this also. They only sell them in certain stores now unlike in the 80's (I even remember a Swatch store in the mall) when you could find them in Dillards and JcPenneys. Now it seems only some watch shops handle them.

In 84 I got a Swatch JELLYFISH, the totally clear plastic one. I wore it all the time until you realized that the clear plastic just got dirty and dingy from your body oils. I still have it in a drawer or box somewhere...and its probably still filthy and discolored from wearing it all the time. :P

Of course this was before *everyone* had a swatch, and then people started wearing like 3 or 4 of them at a time.

I remember it being quite the conversation piece, people coming to check it out "is your watch broken!?", etc.

LOL! Mine was the regular swatch and had a watch band that was red on one side of the watch, blue on the other side of the watch, the ring around the watch was yellow, the face was a plaid and I had a bunch of different colored rubber swatch guards that were changed on and off, put on in multiples or twisted togeather frequently.

I dont know if this was cool other places but where I grew up in Omaha we would where like 4 to 8 swatches at a time. My fave was a brown band, brown body w an Indian head of some sort on the face.

By late 85 early 86 almost everyone was doing this.

I wish I could find my "Don't Be Too Late" one I have (box somewhere in storage)..

When I was in Rome there was a Swatch store. I went in but couldn't afford any of them.

                              Damn my lack of funds.

                                Check this:
                                https://www.squiggly.com/swatch/p/subcat/s/standard_gents

It would seem that Swatch reissued all their 80's watches. I found both of my old ones on there and even ordered a replacement band for my flaming neon swatch(officially the "coral gables";).

lol...we used to have cheesy magazine and cassette drives in middle school all the time. you'd get so many points for selling magazine subscriptions, or cassette tapes and you could trade them in for prizes...my brother cashed in his points for 1 of those swatch watch wall clocks and he hung it up in our room, but the wrist band part of it always fell off. cheap piece of junk!
