I don't know if anyone else heard about this but I think I heard that after the 9-11 terrorist attacks some games that were released around this time were affected by them. I think I remember them saying that spiderman 2 for the playstation had a part in the game that took place on the twin towers but it was cut out of the game. Also I think syphon filter 3 for playstation was delayed a little bit because of the attacks. Another thing I remember reading is that there was a scene in metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty that was cut because it had metal gear destroying buildings in new york city or something like that. Anyone else ever hear about any of these things?

All I know is one of Dream Theaters album covers had to be taken off the shelves on Sept.11 because it had the Twin Towers on a buring horizon.

        Ah yes, here it is

"Live Scenes From New York , a 3 CD live album by progressive metal band Dream Theater was originally released on September 11, 2001, but when it was noticed that the cover artwork depicted the twin towers of the World Trade Center in flames, it was recalled and re-released a short time later. Some copies with the original artwork still exist, and are now a rare collectors item"

I worked at Best Buy during that time. I remember all the Flight Simulators games with the WTC was removed from the shelves. There was a PS2 game that was out on the shelves at that time too. I don't remember the game but it had a picture of a burning building and a helicopter on it. It was a rescue game of some sort. A customer requested we remove the game. The supervisor ended turning the game around so the picture wasn't visible.

I think the biggest event that may have affected the video game industry was the Columbine school shooting.

But I think 9/11 had the greatest impact on all media as a whole. Did you know that the first major theatrical movie on the tragedy is coming out this April?

            It's called Flight 93

check out the movie site at: http://www.flight93.net

Then there are supposed to be two other movies released next year, one revolves around two people who are in the towers when it happens... I believe Nicholas Cage is in it. And there's one where Adam Sandler plays a serious role, I believe he's part of a firefighter unit that lost a lot of members and it shows how he deals with the grief.

I saw the teaser on flight 93 a while back.
However, I didn't know about the other 2. Thanks for the info.

As long as Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer arent involved these movies have a chance of being decent.

Didn't think there would be any movies on this subject this soon.

Oh well, I guess I have to go see it.

I mean come on this is about the most significant day of our lives.

                  Trailer looks spooky.

Wasnt Grand Theft Auto III affected too a bit? I remember they changed the police colors and fonts to not look so much like NYCPD style.
