        Good guy--Kabal
        Bad guy---Scorpion.

I even dressed up as scorpion for one Halloween. It was the coolest costume in school! :D

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are long time favorites (gotta love free hits!).
Kabal was good, for the same reason, but never got into Sindel.

Who I like lately though is the Evil Raiden we get at the end of Deception. No more of that "Protect the innocents" stuff, just pure "If you endanger this realm, I will shove a lightning bolt up your ass sideways!"

I've got mixed feelings on this new one.
While the Make-Your-Own-Fighter aspect has me giddy, I don't like what I'm seeing about the "flying" engine, which looks like nothing more than adjusting the Z axis so they're just running around on invisible platforms...

My favorite was scorpion, I remember walking into the first super walmart in the area where I lived and saw a strange, very violent arcade game. The first character I saw was Scorpion, so for the longerst time I played as him. After awhile Kano became my favorite character.

I think Raiden only got evil cos he got angry with Shujinko. It was all becasue of him the Dragon King was resurected.

My fave character is Lui Kang. He's great to have in Deception. The first 2 were great but 3rd one was where it went downhill. But things picked up again when Deadly allince came out.

              Is Sholin Monks worth getting?

2D MK: Lui Kang and Johnny Cage
                3D MK: Kenshi

                I haven't played deception so I wouldn't know.

if you can master his style, kenshi rules! but my fave is still sub-zero, although he looked alot cooler(no pun intended) in the 2d games. never liked raiden personally

Hmm, for me, my ultimate fav character was always Kung Lao. I have no idea why I loved his character so much. ^^

Aside from him, I was a Jade fan. I loved her combos.

And for the record, my fav MK game is definitely the second one. Least favorite, MK4 for sucking horribly and ruining my interest for playing much of anything past there. Shinnock wasn't even a real challenge like Shao Khan for the MK Annihilation movie (which also sucked >

Favorite character: Any human controlled one.
Least Favorite character: Any computer controlled one from 1-U3.

If those designers put as much effort into the AI as they did their fatalities and such, I think the games would have held up much better.

Some of my best times were playing SF and MK in a crowded competitive arcade. Especially against the "regulars" who I needed to rematch for last weeks loss.

Aaahh, the memories of arcades past glory. Walking up to the crowd and laying down your quarter in front of the machine, challenging any opponent that steps in your way. Nowadays, arcades are about gimmicks since consoles are powerful enough to handle fighters. But I do miss the social aspect of playing fighting games in arcades.

The next Mortal Kombat game looks awsome. Every character is in it including Stiker and Sheeva and I thought we'd never see them again. It's called Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and it's out later this year.

On Gamespot it says for X Box but I've read that it's going to be released on PS2 as well (I hope so as I don't have an X box. I have a PS2). I've seen the trailer and the PS2 logo does appear at the end.
