I would like to see the original TRON and Discs of TRON make a comeback. Anyone interested?

I used to have a cool Tron pop-up book as a kid that dramatized all the classic scenes, but it got lost over the years. Did anyone used to have this? :?

Nothing but the newest games for my movie theaters!

I had an idea of liek a total imersion light cycle game where you would be in a inclosed light cycleyou would have to lay in it like they did with a screen in front of you and two on the sides to show everything so it would look like it would if you were really in one not the top down thing and when you made a turn it would whip you aorund to make a 90 degree turn i think they could make it and ti would kick ass

Tron 2.0 was a decent game. It didn't flop altogether... it had nice graphics (also came out for the X-Box), and had most of the scenes from the movie integrated to the game with some nice effects, but it was hard from what I played. It just probably didn't sell as well as they had hoped, either PC or X-Box...

The original Tron games are still fun-to-play, but best played on a MAME emulator because they're just good in small doses. I don't know if Tron 2.0 had the original game hidden in it or not like other updated games (Ninja Gaiden & Outrun 2, being prime examples).

Sort-of like an arcade flight simulator for the lightcycle, right?

i would love to see the lightcycle get it's own platform. that would be the shit! alas, atari cann ot afford such a liscensing from disney, cuz disney is, "oooh! look at me! im disney! i have a trillion-gigillion-bzillion dollars! F*** your pipe dream of a game!"

well thats just me, they may be more like...

"well, you dont have enough money to back up the game if it flops (like tron 2.0) so no"

yea, thats the problems these days: everyone got all excited about making games of movies and doing game-spoof of movies, but the truth is, they never take off. so, in the end, someone else other than atari (even though it would be blasphemy or a taboo) would have to make future tron games, cuz lets face it: atari just doesnt have the money to compete.

Tron 2.0 kind of looked good. I kind of wished I had it. I didn't hear anything about it failing. That's sad. :(

Yeah I guess TRON 2.0 didn't sell that great. http://www.tron-sector.com/20/

That probably spells doom for Tron's future as a game or even on the big screen.

This reminds me of that great Simpsons treehouse of horror episode.

"Its like that movie Tron...Anybody here see the movie Tron?"

                      (Crowd)

"no, no, no, no, yes...I mean no, no, no."

I remember the old ad for "Tron" in one of those old comic books. M Network was the company that made the game "Tron Deadly Discs" for the Atari 2600. It was based on a Disney movie of the same name. I've never seen that game before, but I remember the movie.

yeah i think that would be so cool and with three screens on in front on on each side you can see what sin front of you and beside you like as the other cycles come up beside you

I loved Tron 2.0. The graphics and animations were pretty good, and they successfully kept the Tron feeling. IMHO, it was not a flop at all.

Kingdom Hearts 2 will have a Tron world in it.

Anyone here of Armagedtron? Pretty much a TRON game, and it's actually really fun, with some cool features.
