Many active people seem to be interested in Retrojunk anymore. Maybe because of the old style? Because of the videos compression done here? Do the inventors even still support the site? I wish we could make more people interested on this lovely site.

There's been some insignificant changes in the site, thus causing members to lose interest.

                    Sounds like sarcasm.

Anyway, Retrojunk is not nearly as active as it once was. And Vertex has no desire in trying to make it good. People who've been here a long time can say it's dying out. Everyone else are just kidding themselves.

If the videos would not have degraded quality

The only reason I don’t pop in more often is that you could write a post and it could sit for months without a reply. Or I pop in and think ooo a new popular thread but it turns out it’s an old thread that’s been bumped from five years ago and I already commented twice

I'd like to see this site stick around.

I was a very active member here in 07/08, and it's a bit of a let down that it seems getting back into these forums wouldn't be the same. It would be lovely to see this site surge in use again.

I have been a member of this site since 2007. I have said this here many times before, social media has killed most internet forums. Typically, when older users lose interest in a site, some young fresh ones will come in to fill the void. However, kids these days would rather use sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit to share their thoughts, and see no point in joining a barely active forum. However, what I feel is lost in that is the sense of anonymity. On an internet forum, you do not have to put in your real name, you can use a cartoon image as your icon, no one will know who you are or what you look like, and no matter what you have to say, your opinion will still be taken seriously. You could not do any of that on social media. If you use a fake name and cartoon image as your profile picture, people could care less what you have to say because that is not the norm on there. I guess the closest place you would be able to do that in an active forum-like environment now is Reddit, but there are so many people on there, that whatever you have to say will likely get buried among other people's posts. I miss the days when internet forums could be active communities and everyone would associate each other by the cartoon image you have on your icon.

It definitely feels like it's dying out or at least going through a really slow period. I feel like I joined at the wrong time tbh.

RetroJunk is as dead as Saturday morning cartoons, maybe?

This site is dead. But the Facebook page is running just fine! (And guess who's partially in charge of that?!)
Back for the 4th time? 5th time? I lost count.
