Yeah the no music videos thing bugs me. I have not had TV in like 6 years but back then there was no channels for watching music videos. I am sure there is enough interest in music videos to support a channel considering some of the garbage channels that are on TV.
When I die, I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandpa did. Not like the screaming passengers in his car.
MTV did have a "classic" channel for a while. It was called MTV2. There's likely never going to be another channel dedicated to showing music videos again. And do you know why? Youtube. Why would they pay to run a channel when people could just go online and watch music videos all day long? It's just not worth it in the long run.
We should rebrand VH1 classic into MTV classic and just have all the videos they have played but also add in a hour of Old School Hip-Hop & R&B because as VH1 classic they have played rock videos way more than pop videos. and they also never made the station HD. since MTV will be on its 35th anniversary they should at least be MTV the way it was for a day or 2 followed by a reunion of people talking about the good times MTV had. also lately they've been putting in Nick shows on MTV and MTV2 like Kenan and Kel and Ren And Stimpy even though we already have the splat on teennick.
