In case you wanted to hear modern North Korean music, here are a couple of songs by the DPRK's all-female orchestra, whose members were hand picked by Kim Jong-Un himself. They debuted in 2012, and have been immensely popular in North Korea ever since. They are of course regulated by the DPRK's government.

Without a Break (단숨에): A 2012 remix of the classic North Korean song. There aren't any other vocals in this song other than "단숨에" (meaning "Without a Break").

Please Let The Snow Fall (설눈아 내려라): I would assume this came out somewhere between 2013-2015.

We Will Go To Mt. Paektu (가리라 백두산으로): As a note, Mt. Paektu is the highest point in North Korea.

I don't know what this song is, but this is what introduced me to this band.

EDIT: I found the name of the song. It's apparently called "Let's Support Our Supreme Commander with Arms" (무장으로 받들자 우리의 최고사령관)

I wonder what will happen if they miss a note.

There are other bands too, like the Chongbong Band, Wangjaesan Light Music Band and Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble.
