Remember the sexual assault allegations about Bill Cosby years ago?

Well now, a slew of women, including various celebrities, are coming forward and accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault. Such crimes include drugging and raping. As a result, his career is tumbling. TV Land has pulled reruns of The Cosby Show. Netflix has postponed his new stand-up comedy special. NBC has dropped his upcoming show.

What do you think about these new allegations?

Every time I check the news there's new accusations. I never would have thought Bill was such a perv.

The last time I was at Wal-Mart, I saw some Cosby Show season sets on display. They've likely taken them down by now.

I always find it exceedingly difficult to believe or sympathize with claims like this when the supposed victims 1) wait SOOOOOO long to come forward and 2) wait until there's a big event (like cosby's new show or clinton's re-election) to forth. Odds are extremely high that they just want publicity and/or money, especially the one that was supposedly attacked back in the 60s and waited all these decades.

I thought the same way at first, but the sheer amount of accusations is just too overwhelming; they had me at Mrs. Ferrigno...

Gee you guys, when I think about Bill Cosby it feels like my thoughts about Mike Nichols, both men go waay back in time.

Bill Cosby has always been just another entertainer to me. For the people that "love" him I've never shared their adoration. In my world of comedy there are hundreds of people that are just as funny, if not funnier, than the "Coz".

I tend to agree with comedian Hannibal Buress. I've seen Bill Cosby wag his finger at Black Americans pointing out all our collective failings, as if he was a paragon of virtue or some kind of role model.

Rumors for Mr. Cosby's strange relations with women go back to many of the "black owned" magazines of the 60's and 70's. That these allegations have converged decades later into a perfect storm in the media seems strange to me.

                        What took so long?

Bill Cosby did not help his cause in his interview with Scott Simon on Weekend Edition Saturday a few weeks ago. The "Coz" seemed to have trouble just putting a few words together to form a single sentence. His wife Camille did most of the talking otherwise there would've been a lot of dead air.

Some of the women speaking out now about their encounters with Bill Cosby tell some very creepy details. Some of the stories seem to confirm rumors that Bill may be a sexual predator throughout his younger days.

This may come off as cynical, but I bet Bill is happy about the Ferguson riots because I haven't heard his name in the news for the last two days. I wouldn't be surprised if he was out there in disguise riling up the protesters.

He got his NBC and Netflix special pulled, so it makes sense that the DVDs comes off the racks.

A lot of people tend to take a long time keeping their allegations of sexual assault/rape to themselves for quite a while, to what I have heard.

This stuff happened from the late 60s to early 80s. The last allegation came to light in 2005. Now they are just coming forward about it? Why are people waiting until people are old and weak to come after them?

Maybe he did do some of these things, but it was a long time ago. Except for murder, child molestation and violent rape things like this should be forgiven after 20 years or so.

From what I have read and heard these women continued to come around after this stuff happened. I call BS on a lot if not all of it.

It's really ashame. I've never been a big celebrity person but Cos I've taken interest in for a long time. never cared for TCS but knew he was a well known comedian long before that and collected many of his comedy routines from the 60's and 70's. With being an advocate on doing well in life, getting an education, along with the fact there are not many famous people like that especially these days it's suprising to hear about all of these accusations in the last 10 years or so.
