Did anyone see Disney's new movie Big Hero 6? I did, and I thought it was fantastic! It reminds me somewhat of Atlantis, and how it should have been done without Eisner and his cronies intervening and trying to turn it into kiddie fare aimed at selling toys. It actually looks like something Walt Disney would have done if he were still alive (as always). Yes, I know it's CGI, but I think Disney learned their lesson once Chicken Little was panned by almost everybody. If you went to see BH6, what did you think of it?

It was a great movie. Not up to the same level as The Incredibles, but it was fun and had some good humor in it. Baymax is a loveable character. My only real complaint is that it was very predictable and the "bad guy" was disappointing and not very fleshed out.

I'm hoping to check this out soon. The 'drunk' Baymax in the trailer cracks me up because drunk people are hilarious.

He's actually not drunk. Just low on power.

I wonder if the Michelin tire mascot has something to do with it.

Yeah, that's why I added the quotation marks around drunk. I thought Disney probably wouldn't make a movie about an alcoholic robot, though they most definitely should.

One of the film's director, Chris Williams, wanted a unique looking robot. After sampling hundreds of robots in popular media he liked the inflatable look, lots of creative room for a filmmaker.

The only issue was to avoid a robot that looks like Bib, the Michelin Man.

The scene where Baymax got 'drunk' (really just low on battery power) reminded me of the scene in Dumbo where both the title character and Timothy Mouse got drunk, which later lead to the scary Pink Elephants sequence.

Very cool movie, on par with Frozen, Wreck it Ralph etc.

Who thinks Disney is back on top?
