    		 Bizarre, entertaining and well made horror fantasy from Clive Barker of Hellraiser/Candyman fame which is like a cross between Island of Dr Moreau, Gargoyles (the show), Hellboy and Beetlejuice about misfit monsters who live in a secret society as some humans want them dead but they want to defend themselves.

    I saw this in theaters when i was 8 2 times and i dug it, i had the comics with soundtrack and mug with poster with all that, but too bad the film was butchered by Morgan Creek as some footage was left but luckily the found lost footage and reels have been found of the original cut of Nightbreed as this fall the director's cut will finally be released of what Barker intended. It's like how Blade Runner, Brazil, Legend, Little Shop of Horrors, Amadeus etc. got director's cuts with different cuts and this fall i pre-ordered the 3-disc LE blu-ray set which has both DC and TC with extras galore .

            		 I got the 3-disc LE Blu-ray 3 days ago and i watched the TC cut first then the DC next and WOW! the DC is a HUGE improvement over the Hollywood butchered theatrical cut as it's a better film this time with better character development, more monsters and all that plus a better ending this time. The restoration on the PQ is so quality you think it was filmed last year and hard to be convinced it was made in 1989.

            Who else thought Shuana Sassi the porcupine woman was hot? when i saw her when i saw the movie in theaters and saw her in the comics and fangoria magazines, it was love at first sight. When i was a kid and a young teen i thought her with mutated Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in the Tyger Tyger episode of Batman TAS (remember that episode folks? the one where was turned into a REAL cat-woman), Demona on Gargoyles, Sil from Species, Mona Lisa from the original Turtles toon (remember that brunette lizard anthro hottie mutant?), Felicia/Morrigan from Darkstalkers, Cheetara/Pumarya from Thundercats etc. were the hottest creature chicks i ever saw.

                  LOL, remember those other creature babes i mentioned including that Catwoman episode of Batman?
